Anti-Trans Bills in the U.S.

2020, 2021, and 2022 saw record-breaking numbers of anti-trans legislation in the United States. 2023 is gearing up with many more anti-trans bills. These bills attack transgender children in sports and in healthcare. These are unconstitutional, harmful, and discriminatory. They are wrong. Let's fight back!

TAKE ACTION FOR GEORGIA: [from the ACLU]

Unfortunately, 2023 has seen relentless attacks on the LGBTQ community, and particularly trans folx -between healthcare bans, sports bans and even drag bans. In Tennessee, we’ve already seen the passage of bans on drag performance and gender-affirming care for trans youth. In Georgia, we are fighting back against a SB140, which would prevent trans minors from receiving gender-affirming surgeries and hormone replacement and punish doctors who provide that care (taking a page straight from the anti-abortion playbook). And federally, we’re seeing a push toward a nationwide ban on trans girls and women’s participation in sports.

The ACLU is working in all 50 states to protect trans people and hold politicians accountable for their anti-trans agenda.

1) Georgia:

SB140 - a cruel bill which robs trans youth of the gender-affirming care they need for their well-being - has passed through the House and is expected to head to the Senate on Monday. Georgians need your help NOW. Please post the social copy below with this graphic.
