Hello Governor Gianforte,
My name is [your name] and I urge you to oppose HB112 and SB 280.
HB112 wrongly discriminates against transgender girls in sports. Trans girls deserve to play on girls’ teams, just like any other girls do without harmful invasion and policing of their bodies.
Trans girls do not threaten women’s sports. In fact, the exclusion of trans women threatens women’s sport because the exclusion of trans women demands rampant policing of women’s bodies. That is, HB112 threatens ALL girls, because any girl can be accused of being transgender. This not only demonizes and weaponizes transness but also legally enforces the policing of women’s bodies in sport. Please VETO HB112 to protect ALL athletes in women’s sport.
SB 280 also wrongly discriminates against trans people. Trans people should be able to update their birth certificates to match who they truly are. This also helps protect them from continuously being outed as transgender, which can often be a clear invasion of privacy. Trans people deserve the same respect and kindness that everyone else does.
Thank you,

Dear Governor Justice:
I’m writing to ask you to veto HB 3293, a mean-spirited bill that if enacted would violate federal law.
This cruel piece of legislation singles out an already vulnerable population, young trans people. Studies show this type of legislation is directly linked to serious harms among transgender young people.
Though proponents of this bill claim that it is designed to protect women’s rights and women’s sports, every major women’s rights and women’s sports organization opposes legislation of this kind.
Reputable medical organizations including the WV State Medical Association, the WV Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the WV Psychological Association, and the WV School Psychologist Association all oppose this bill.
In your many years of coaching, you’ve seen that participation in sports prepares young people for success in life. Taking this opportunity away from one group just because they’re different is cruel. It’s also a violation of Title IX and the Constitution and will invite costly lawsuits that the state will lose. I’m sure you can think of many more effective and helpful ways for West Virginia to use that money.
[ADD ANY PERSONAL DETAILS OR YOUR CONNECTION TO THIS BILL]
We urge you to do the right thing and VETO HB 3293.
Sincerely,
[YOUR NAME]

Hello Governor Noem,
My name is [your name] and I urge you to veto HB1217.
HB1217 wrongly discriminates against transgender girls in sports. Trans girls deserve to play on girls’ teams, just like any other girls do. HB1217 also proposes as massive invasion of privacy for young girls through the creation of a government registry of athletes’ bodies.

That is, HB1217 threatens ALL girls, because any girl can be accused of being transgender. Hello Governor Ivey,
My name is [your name] and I urge you to veto HB1/SB10 and HB391.
HB1/SB10 puts trans youth at risk. Research clearly shows that gender-affirming healthcare saves lives. Criminalizing providing healthcare for trans youth is inhumane, dehumanizing, and will put trans youth at immense risk. This is clear discrimination against trans people, which is unconstitutional. Trans people deserve equal rights and autonomy in healthcare. Please VETO HB1/SB10 to protect all trans people in Alabama.
HB391 wrongly discriminates against transgender girls in sports. Trans girls deserve to play on girls’ teams, just like any other girls do. Trans girls do not threaten women’s sports. In fact, the exclusion of trans women threatens women’s sport because the exclusion of trans women demands rampant policing of women’s bodies. That is, HB391 threatens ALL girls, because any girl can be accused of being transgender. This not only demonizes and weaponizes transness but also legally enforces the policing of women’s bodies in sport. Please VETO HB391 to protect ALL athletes.

BILLS THAT HAVE EITHER BEEN PASSED OR VETOED
Arkansas’ HB1570 was vetoed initially by Republican Governor Hutchinson, but his veto was later overturned by both the state’s House and Senate. The ACLU will sue.

Hello Governor Hutchinson,
My name is [your name] and I urge you to veto HB1570 and SB354.

This is clear discrimination against trans people, which is unconstitutional. Trans people deserve equal rights in healthcare. Please VETO HB1570 to protect all trans people in Arkansas.
SB354 wrongly discriminates against transgender girls in sports. Trans girls deserve to play on girls’ teams, just like any other girls do. Trans girls do not threaten women’s sports. In fact, the exclusion of trans women threatens women’s sport because the exclusion of trans women demands rampant policing of women’s bodies. That is, SB354 threatens ALL girls, because any girl can be accused of being transgender. This not only demonizes and weaponizes transness but also legally enforces the policing of women’s bodies in sport. Please VETO SB354 to protect ALL athletes.
